• Property data: Property boundaries, camera locations, terrain features, and stand locations you add to the application. This data belongs to you.
• Trail camera photos: Images you upload for analysis. Photos are stored securely and are never shared with other users or third parties.
• Usage data: Basic analytics about how you interact with the application, used to improve the product.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the BuckScience application
• To analyze your trail camera data and generate activity patterns, movement routes, and stand predictions
• To send you product updates and important account information
• To improve the application based on usage patterns

Your Data Belongs to You

Your property data, trail camera photos, sighting records, and any analysis derived from your data is yours. We do not sell, share, or license your data to any third party. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service providers:

• Google Analytics (via Cloudflare Zaraz) — website traffic and usage analytics
• Microsoft Azure — application hosting and authentication
• Beehiiv — email list management and communications
• Stripe — payment processing

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data. These providers only have access to the minimum information needed to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Cloudflare Zaraz manages these analytics in a privacy-friendly way. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

BuckScience is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
